Good afternoon ladies. I hope everyone is doing great and staying warm.

I've been MIA for nearly a week because we were away and when we got back earlier this week things have been insane with Christmas parties and the like.

@Scarlet, Yes, we do have a lot in common and very blessed to have men in our lives who are so dedicated to what they do. I'm also very sorry about your brother. I will keep him in my prayers.

@MrsWard, I'm glad you're finally on your way to getting some answers. As far as "low motility sperm," that is actually the second biggest cause of male infertility, right after low sperm count. What happens with low motility is that the sperm barely make progress once they are ejaculated into the vagina. Normal sperm are quick and as soon as they are ejaculated, they swim as fast as possible through the vagina into the fallopian tube in order to fuse with the egg and to fertilize it. When the sperm fail to move, they perish in the vagina itself and the egg is not fertilized. In some cases, the sperm move but at very low speed, which is not enough and they perish on their way. There are not many medical treatments to treat this so you will probably have to do IVF. However, there's evidence that a diet rich in zinc can improve sperm quality. My DH is taking Maca and a multivitamin.

@Zuberi, get some baby dancing on. Whoop whoop!

AFM, I'm CD8, still taking prenatal, maca and royal jelly with propolis. I'm also excited although a bit nervous about our first visit with the fertility specialist this coming Thursday.

That's it for my update. I hope everyone is having a great Saturday!

Hey Zuberi! I'm just trying to hang out and not obsess. 9dpo, only real symptoms are cramps and very faint nausea every once in a while. I'll be testing tomorrow morning so I can stop the progesterone in time for AF to come. She has to be in and out of here in time for Christmas! :) Not feeling very good about this cycle. Right now I just don't know if I'll ever get pregnant and carry a baby to term again. But ask me that in another week or so and I'll probably feel more positive. The days right before I test are the hardest, because I know chances are greater I'll see a BFN.

Lwilliams - I know right! This weight thing is a mess. Two pregnancies in 2 years and my body just doesn't know what to do with itself. I've gained 15 lbs between the two losses, and just can't lose it yet. To top it all off, at Christmas I have to go to my inlaws, and my mil, God bless her, is not the most tactful woman. I dread whatever comment she's going to make about my weight. Not to mention the gray hair that's sprouted. I truly believe it's the grief and emotional stress I've been under that's caused it to appear. No one else in my family had it this early. :(

Oh well. Ladies, much love and hugs to all of you. I pray for you daily. You are all a blessing to me.

Good morning Ladies. I'm trying to post this from my phone so I apologize now for any typos or misspelled words.

Mrs Ward - I'm sorry about your husbands results but continue to keep you in my prayers that if you guys do IVF you have success immediately. Praying for a positive for you real soon.

Zuberi- I agree you may have caught your surge early. I've gotten positive opks for like three days before my temp dropped and I actually ovulated just keep bding. I'm praying you get your bfp this cycle.

lwilliams- I know how you feel every month I feel like I'm pregnant. But I think it's my mind playing tricks on me. lol

Praying4ALil1- I'm praying your visit with your fertility specialist goes well. I'll keep praying for you.

Rebecca- I'm praying so hard for you. I know God wants to bless you. I pray he gives you peace and that you soon get your BFP.

Afm- It's still crazy busy around my house. I want to think all my wonderful TTC family for your support and always listening. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns about my brother it is so greatly appreciated. Still trying to get everything ready for Christmas. We have most of our kids and each other bought for. I'm still working on the Fire departments. And tonight is our church Christmas play. On Wednesday 12dpo I started spotting and Thursday I continued to spot but just using a pantyliner. I was sure AF was coming so I stopped temping. Stupid I know but Greg and I decided if we didn't get our BFP before Christmas we were going to take a break for a month or two. I'm still spotting not enough to need a pad and not passing any clots but it is red not brown. And I have headaches everyday. And that is unusual for me since I've been on my medicine to control my prolactin. So I have no idea what is going on with my body anymore lol .

I'll chat with you ladies soon.

Love, hugs, prayers

Omg this weekend by so fast! We finally got around to getting a Christmas tree and I finally ordered our Christmas cards, which I guess they're going to be holiday cards as I doubt that I will get them in time to mail before Christmas. The truth is I'm feeling a bit discouraged. I'm trying to be positive but I was just hoping that we'd be able to tell our families that we were expecting this holiday season and instead I'm just going to have to put up with everyone asking why we don't have babies, etc. Blah!!!

@LWilliams and @Rebecca, don't let a couple of extra pounds stress you. Stress is truly one of our biggest enemies when we are trying to conceive. Trust me, I do know it's easier said than done but try not stress too much about it.

@Zuberi, I hope you're busy bding!

@ Scarlet, thank you for your prayers. They are very much appreciated and needed! I will keep you, your brother & mom in my prayers as well.

I wish everyone a blessed Sunday night.

Hey ladies

Just checking in.

Prayin4alil1: this weekend did fly by. Lol I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

I got a chance to get some shopping done in the mist of every thing that was going on. Well......I'm in the tww. I O two days early on cd12. I have had cramps off and on since I took the last dose of soy. But while I was sitting in church on Friday night cd11/12 I had a very sharp pain in my right ovary. It almost felt like a pop. I know that sounds crazy but I don't know how else to explain it.

Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your weekend. Check on you later.

Hi all! Sorry I've been MIA for the last few days. My dd (13yrs old) had her Winter band concert friday night and then yesterday, I did some much needed cleaning around the house and laundry. Then church today and just been relaxing since we got home. Thanks all for the prayers. Thank you Praying4Alit1 for explaining sperm motility to me. It's been overwhelming to processs. All this time, I kept thinking our reason for not getting a BFP was because of my age and although I'm sure that has a factor in it. But now knowing about my husbands sperm analysis and that his motility is not good and also the volume of the sperm too. We will find out the results of our blood test on Jan 3rd. Depending on what the doctor says about my AMH results, we will either try IVF or egg donor. Today is cd 26 for me. My cycle last month was 21 days but the month before that was 29. I wish my cycles were more consistent. It sure makes it difficult in determining when I O and whether or not I am actually late. I don't know if should even test. I will prob give it till cycle day 29 or 30 I was wondering do any of you know what the chances of my dh fathering a child if he has low or no sperm motility. My dh was married before and has a 4 yr old daughter from that marriage. He has questioned before if she is really his and now that we found this out about his sperm motility - it certainly has made him think more that she is not his. I was just wondering what the chances of him actually fathering a child if his sperm has low volume and motitliy. Does anyone know???

Mrsward - I'm sorry, I don't know anything about sperm motility and the chances of fathering a child. I hope he can find peace about the situation with his dd.

Zuberi - FX'd and praying for you.

Scarlet - We continue to lift your family in prayer. Thank you for praying for us!

Afm - 10dpo, tested this AM and got a BFN. *sigh* Guess I'll stop taking the progesterone and wait for the witch to show either Wed or Thurs. If she does, then my next chance of getting pregnant falls smack in the middle of our visit to my MIL's in VA. All 5 of us will be staying in the 1 bedroom apartment they have over their garage...somehow I just don't see a lot of baby-making monkey business going on then! :(

Happy hump day ladies. I hope everyone is having a good week. I can't believe Christmas is literally a week away. I finally finished our Christmas shopping. I say "ours" because I have to buy for everybody, including my DH's family. He gets to buy for me from a "wishlist" that he insists I create every year. Of course, at the top of that list was a baby or at least a BFP but maybe next year.

@Zuberi & @Rebecca, ladies how r you doing? Any news?

I'm on CD12 with a negative OPK and very dry down there (sorry, TMI) but I have my first visit with the fertility specialist tomorrow so please keep us in your prayers. Thank you!

Have a blessed day.

Hello Ladies. Happy "Hump" day to you!!! Well, af showed her ugly head yesterday. : ( I was REALLY hoping for a Christmas BFP miracle! Oh well! I am done with all of our Christmas shopping and ready for Christmas to be here already. We are celebrating with my dh's mom, sister and his daughter because we won't have her on Christmas this year. So, she will open her gifts from us and the rest of the family. I am leaving Jan 8th for Colorado Springs to visit my dh, who is 19 yrs old and stationed in the Army there at Ft. Carson. I can't wait to see him!!!!!!! His unit is suppose to be deployed to Afghanistan in March. I'm not happy about that at all! So, this visit will be my last one with him till he returns. I will be visiting with him for a week. I am VERY excited about that. I am bummed about af showing up but I am looking forward to seeing my son soon. I am just staying focus on that now. : )
I hope you all are doing well! God Bless u all!!!
