BYOB: Hoping for some summer bfps!

Category: Two Week Wait - General Chatter
Posted by Expecting2Expect » Jun. 5, 2012 10:14am

Hi ladies!!

Lets start things off as usual.... with an introduction/update!

My name is Joy
DH and I are both 29
we've been together just over 10yrs
Got married and bought a house together in 2009
From Canada
I'm currently a housewife, but hope to soon be a stay at home mom

I got pg back in the summer of 2010 then m/c'd at 8 weeks
We ttc for 8 cycles after the m/c, (10 months)
We have a nursery room all set up waiting for baby

I got a BFP on June 30th 2011
Had a missed m/c on Aug 18th 2011
Since then I have been rushed to the hospital 3 times for excessive bleeding (once via ambulance cause I passed out)
I have had 2 emergency D&C's, 2 Folley Ballooons, 3 blood transfusions of 2 bags each, & a Hysteroscopey. (Not to be confused with a "HysterECTAMY")

I Finally got back to TTC in Jan/Feb 2012 and on March 21st I got my BFP!
I am currently 14 weeks 3 days pregnant!
My first ob/gyn apt was Wed April 4th 2012
He put me on progestrone and asked to see me in 2 weeks
My next apts were April 19th 2012 & May 3rd
At our May 3rd apt (at 9 weeks5 days) we heard the best sound ever - our little one's heartbeat!!
We went for our 1st non-diagnostic u/s on May 15th and saw our little ones heartbeat & he or she was VERY active!
Had another dr apt on May 22nd and heard the heartbeat again!
Next apt is June 21st... my diagnostic u/s is July 13th
We will be going for a non-diagnostic u/s around the end of June/Beginning of July so dh can see our little peanut before he leaves on his trip.
My due date is Dec 1st 2012!

This is truly an amazing group of ladies & I really hope our string of luck (& bfps) continues!! ladies!

xx

Hi, I'm Lindsay (28) and DH (29) and I have been married 5 years. We live in Texas, just bought a house, and are ready to use our extra room for baby!

We have been ttc since last summer and got pg in November only to learn in December it was ectopic. Had laparoscopic surgery to remove the ectopic and also lost my left tube. We have been right back at it since March hoping for another , this time in the right place.

I am CD 13 today and last night I got my first + opk. We have the past 2 nights in a row and plan to keep it up all week. If we're unlucky again this month I've scheduled an hsg test next cycle to make sure my right tube is clear.

I have been following this thread for a couple months now and I'm hoping the luck continues to the point that we no longer need the thread, we can all join Joy on the pregnancy page!

Hi,

I DH and I are 30 years old and married for just over 6 years. We have been ttc #1 since Sept. 2010.

Got pg Nov 2010 and lost that baby in March 2011 to a neural tube defect (NTD).

Started ttc again in May 2011 and got pg in July 2011. Lost that baby in Oct 2011 to another NTD.

Started ttc again in Jan 2012 and got pg in April 2012. Lost that baby at 5 weeks in April.

On our 2nd cycle ttc since the m/c. I am about 7dpo today and nothing to really report. I had ovulation spotting this cycle so I hope that is a good sign, but at the same time I don't feel like we BD'd enough or at the right times and I might be out this month. We'll find out in about a week.

Hi Ladies,

Jess and Lindsey, good luck this month!

Im Amber, 27, and my DH is 29. We are TTC #1 and have been since March. No luck so far!

Im currently somewhere between 9-12 dpo. I expect AF to show up Thurs-Sat. Im experiencing some super light cramping, and am hoping that it doesn't increase. I track all my symptoms and BBTs daily. Take a look at my chart.... those of you who track BBT. When does your BBT dip, the day AF arrives? Im not sure what else to look out for.

I took a FRER HPT this morning and of course it was neg. Im going to refrain from taking any other tests until Sat/Sun!

Hope everyone has a great week.

Hi all - again haha, well I'm TTC #2 and have been now for 3yrs 4 months. I was pregnant in 2011 but found out it was a 'missed miscarriage' at 13 week scan.

Just been referred to infertility clinic (May) and currently in the middle of all the tests.
Had an ultrasound and found out I have a retroverted uterus a cyst on one Ovary and a Fibroid.
Having blood tests on CD3,21,28 & 35 to check for Ovulation.
HSG test will be early next cycle (July)
DH has done S/A but results aren't in yet....

Morning all

me 30, DH 32, trying for our first bundle of joy!
Been off birth control for over three years, had an ectopic pregnancy in Nov 11 which resulted in my left tube being removed. Had appointment with fertility specialist end of May and currently on my first blood tracked cycle.

Had another blood test today for progesterone and about about 9/10dpo. Havent done any HPTs yet which is huge for me! I usually test from about 5dpo because I am slightly unhinged!!

oh and by the way, I'm hoping for a winter BFP and summer baby!!

update - results back and apparently I'm classed as 7/8dpo and have levels of 40 which she said was encouraging but according to google, 40 is the average peak for a non pregnancy cycle! its about now that the levels would fall if there was no implantation to start menstruation or increase if there was fertilisation as the placenta develops!! Frustrating but silver lining, I dont have issues with progesterone levels. Just have to keep fingers crossed that it keeps on rising!

they asked me back for a test next tuesday or wednesday and I will probably do wednesday as that is the day DH comes home so hopefully i will get the results with him and dont need to tell him over the phone! but when I spoke to him before he said take a home test on sunday if you have no bleeding! and if he gives me permission i will find it hard not to!

Krunchie - That does sound promising. I wish I could get more insiight to my cycle instead of just waiting around. Looks like we will both find out around the same time!

Elle - Good luck on the test results!

Amber - I don't temp so I have no idea about the BBT dipping. When do you think you will test again?

Jackson - Have fun BDing!

AFM - I'm about 8dpo today. I don't have a good feeling about this cycle. DH said I said that with all of our pregnancies, but I really have a feeling for this one. Not really having many symptoms yet. Watery cm and very slight cramping on and off. I don't really have a good idea of previous cycle's symptoms because I have been all over the place since my D&C in October.

Hi ladies!

Katie - Yay for testing on Sunday & bloodwork on Wed!! for you! hun!

Elle - Still no results back from the sa?? Grrr... they take too long! Hope you get some answers soon!

Amber - Dont worry about the cramping... it doesnt mean anything one way or the other. I had lots of af cramping before all of my bfps! Sorry about the bfn, but it could still be too early. And as for the bbt, I think usually mine dips below coverline the day af shows.

Jess - Keeping my for you come testing time!!

Lindsay - Wouldnt it be great if we could all get pg and no longer even need this page? I look forward to that day... cant wait to see all you wonderful ladies get your bfps!! Happy BD-ing, hope you catch that eggie!!

AFM - Such a busy week this week & the weather is absolutely beautiful!! Heading out camping tomorrow so I'll be offline for a while! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

xx Joy

Opinions please;

Usually my cycle is about 25 days. Which would mean period is due on Monday. I'm having blood test on the Wednesday. Is it worth me doing a hpt on Sunday?

Symptoms;
Increased cm
Sore boobs
Twinges and low type cramps
Good levels of progesterone
Hard cervix

Just not sure if it's worth it...

Ok hmm me 35 dh soon to be 40. Went of bc in 2009 had a chemical then nothing for a yr. Went to fs lots of blood work and then surgery in oct 2011 put on Lupron for 3 months due to them finding stage 3 endo.tubes were blocked with it,after also having an hsg. Came offs of Lupron in February of 2012 and got of but miscarried at 5 weeks.

Afm went to fs yesterday and have to go for another hsg to see if tubes are still open and then back to fs to talk about fertility drugs.so I guess we are looking at another 2-3 months of waiting, so intotal it will be 3 yes if all this crap.hubby not thrilled bout having another child,he has 3 already but I want 1and he knows the situation and I figure if he doesn't want to take precautions then well he knows the outcome.this is a awesome page for all you new people and am praying we all get our NGOs.we have been in a lucky streak lately so let's keep it up girls

Hi ladies!

Kate - Too late?? Did you test or did the evil witch show up early?? Still hoping it's too early for you to test... I think I would try and wait out the blood test if I were in your position.

AFM - Busy day today! Gotta take the pup to the vet this morning, then going to they gym with my Mom this afternoon & coloring her hair, then we have a bbq to go to this evening and finally off to camp!!

Hope you all have a great weekend! "See" ya on Sunday or Monday!

Krunchie could it be IB? Or do you normally spot around 10 dpo? I hope its Ib!

Elle good luck on ov! Cant wait till I do, I'm trying opks this month along with bbt

Joy have fun camping!

AFM AF came full force today! So I mustve O'd on Cd 13 instead of 16. And now my cycles are 26 instead of 27 days.

Question does anyone know why its only 20% chance of conceiving per cycle for healthy couples? Where does that # come from? I would love to know!

Amber

I'm Jil. I'm 25. Df is 28. We've been trying since November. I got a bfp in January only to have a miscarriage hours later. Df has a low sperm count from cancer a few years ago. I saw my ob/gyn on Tuesday and she said I have to wait until next march before they do fertility testing. I wasn't surprised though.

I'm 4dpo with no symptoms. This time last bfp I already had implantation bleeding and heartburn. But every pregnancy is different.

I got my cast off on Tuesday so now I can type with both hands. I've also had two job interviews. The one I had yesterday I really want. But I have to devote to it fully. So I came to the conclusion that if Im not pregnant this cycle I'm going to take a break for a year. The job means a lot to me and df and I really have to get on our feet. So I'm going to stick around until AF arrives which should be June 18th. Then I'll visit periodically to check in with you girls. Because you all became good friends and I want to follow you all to you bfps and births.

Krunchie- could it be implantation bleeding? When do you go for your blood test?

Joy- enjoy camping.

Amber- sorry about AF. I don't know the answer to your question.

Elle- sorry dh's sa isn't back yet. Good luck ovulating! Happy bding. Hope you catch that egg!

Hey Jill, I think that is a good plan. I'm struggling with the fact that my main focus is baby making and I need something else so u focusing on your job would be good and give u both time to get settled into your new house so there is more time to practice the baby making!!

It could be implantation but cramping is getting more. Guess I will know more tommorrow if the spotting increases but I'm not holding onto any hope. It's an early start format next cycle but not totally unusual. Might give my specialist more insight to why we haven't conceived in the last three years!

armywife - I have no idea why it's only a 20% chance each cycle, it's not a brilliant number is it?? I know a lot of women who got pregnant accidentally on one nighters etc so does that mean they're more 'fertile'? lol who knows. My doctor also told me a lot of women DO actually concieve but the embryo fails to implant or stops developing very soon after implantation. He was complaining about the sensitivity of HPTs saying more and more women are coming on with 'chemical miscarriages' and if the HPTs didn't work so soon they'd have never even known they were pregnant. Gotta love my doc lol

snowwhite - I was thinking about taking a break but now I'm having the fertility tests it's a bit late :/ I'm going to see what the results are. I have been thinking about possibly having fertility treatment and I'm not sure how I feel about it, it all started with a dream I had lol. Good luck with your job hunting :) oh and yay for having your cast off

Krunchie - good luck with your blood test :) and the spotting! Last cycle I started spotting on 12dpo and AF arrived the next day which was weird as it made my cycle a week short :/ I think our bodies know we're having these tests done and want to mess around with us as much as possible! grr

AFM -

I have been having crazy dreams. I know people say they mean nothing but mine quite often do. e.g. on Sunday night I dreamt I had to walk my Grandads Dog because he couldn't - early Monday morning he fell in the garden and broke his leg in 2 places (he's ok, had an op and is up on crutches now) This obviosuly could be a total coincidence but there are others I've had over the years that make me wonder. ANYWAY lol I dreamt a couple of weeks ago that me and DH got a baby boy at midnight (no idea where he came from lol) and we had no milk, bottles or nappies and I remember feeling really un-prepared. Then I had a dream where I had my HSG test, a few weeks after I had to have another ultrasound and they found twin embryos - again in the dream I went into painc mode about having to buy 2 of everything and wondering how I was going to cope.
I am wondering if maybe the universe is trying to tell me now is NOT the time to have a baby? or maybe I'm so convinced it's not going to happen if it does I'll be in disbelief.... ok so I've rambeld on enough now haha, it's a miserable cold wet day here so I'll be spending it indoors.
