Hide Signatures3 hcg only 4 days after a digital bfp??

I had a digital bfp on wed May 16 and on sun may 20th I was in the emergency room because blood clots were oozing out of me, so I had my blood tested. It came back with only 3hcg. Is it normal to have it drop that quickly? Maybe my levels were dropping already when I took the test on wednesday? I stopped feeling nauseous on friday and had a tonne of energy on saturday so I'm assuming my little bump died shortly after or before I took the digital test. Anyone else experience something similar? Report   |

Reply by Shanbabycakes » May. 22, 2012 5:59pm On 4/18 my HCG beta was 81 when I found out. I started cramping and spotting 5 days later and I went to the ER only to find out my HCG was 18. I miscarried naturally hours after coming home from the ER. Blood clots, cramping...the whole thing. There is no way to know what your levels were to begin with but it seems you were very very early in your pregnancy. I'm sorry for your loss. :( Report |

Reply by dips2012 » May. 23, 2012 7:20am I miscarried after 4 days (on 15-May-12) of getting a bfp. I started bleeding during my pap smear exam at the doctor's, which I had initially hoped because of a scratch during the exam, but it sadly turned out to be a miscarriage. My hcg levels were detected very low 8.5 in the blood test. I do not know though what were they to begin with (as Shanbabycakes said), but I could see the + line on PT fading 4 days after bfp. I experienced severe backache, headache, ab-cramps during the next couple of days. Wish you both good luck for the next cycle! Report  |
