Reply by Swimmom » May. 7, 2012 10:45am hey mama at home! I would be testing like crazy! I am going to try to control myself this cycle though and be a little more patient. I'm excited for you! How many boys and how many girls do you have? I am on round 2 of clomid. AF was really really short this cycle so I may opk earlier than normal? My twins will be 6 tomorrow! Fraternal boys. I have 2 girls, and 5 boys, and 4 step kids. :) DH and I got married in Aug. 2011 and are so excited to have one more! Reply by AussieArmyWife » May. 10, 2012 3:59am Hi guys, I'm Liesa, and I'm 41 and TTC (naturally, at this point). I have no other children. This month, I actually feel like I've cracked it! LOL So, I have just joined Countdown to Pregnancy because I was Googling symptoms of early pregnancy, and found this site. Reply by angel197088 » May. 10, 2012 7:23pm Hi y'all, my name is Kimmy, I am 41 and hubby is 43. We have 6 children, 3 boys, then 2 girls and our latest lil guy just turned 1 on May 2nd. We decided that we wanted to try for one more so our lil guy would have a sibling closer to his age as well, there is a 10 yr diff between our youngest daughter and him. We have been trying since I got my cycle back finally (breastfeeding) about 4 mths ago, not sure what's going on, never had trouble getting preggo, all hubby has to do is sneeze and I'm preggo, lol. Last 3 mths I did get preggo but had early miscarriages at 4wks +. last mth used soy isoflavones which got my cycle straightened out, "O" earlier and it shortened my cycle a bit. am on prenatal vitamins, baby aspirin after "O" and just started Evening Primrose Oil along with Omega 3. This cycle going to try using Progesterone cream, since I found out it is possible that breastfeeding can lower my levels causing the miscarriages/chemical pregnancies. Reply by yumminswt » May. 10, 2012 8:42pm im 40 years old with a 17 year old son and i met the man of my dreams. and now i think im pregnate. my breast are super sore and tender full and heavy im slightly fatigued and just feel icky inside. could i be pregnate or is it just symptoms of pms or perimenopause? i havent been pregnate in 17 years however i feel like i am. and my preg test was negative however i think its too soon to test. Reply by mommy8 » May. 10, 2012 8:52pm hi there, i am 41 and half, 42 in july. i had a TR in Jan '09, and became pregnant april'10. we had our litl boy nov'10(day after thanksgiving) he was due christmas eve.i=we were told we had 20% or less chance because of my age at time (39). we were on our journey to IVF (dec'09) 8 months after TR. when our dr told us we didnt have the proper insurance for ivf 2 weeks before treatment was to begin. we were devasted, and upset. we cried then accepted it, and said we wasnt gona stress it, it will hapen when it happens. that was march"10. my cycle came march 19th 2010, we went on as usual, then around the time i was to O (ovulate) which was march 30-4/6/10. we were trying to BD (baby dance), and my hubby couldnt get errected, he felt some pain. so we couldnt have sex. i called his urologist, and he was seen that thurs (4/1/10), the uro rx him cialis, and antibiotic. he took it that night, and we were able to have sex (he errected) nicely..LOL.. we cont to BD for the next 3-4 days, no problem at all. my next cycle was due april 16, didnt show, i tested it was BFN. iretook test 4/19, and got my BFP!!! wen i went for sono that week i was 3.6 weeks. i went again following wk, baby measured 4.6, then again two wks later, i was 6.5 wks,at that time baby measured great and saw HB, baby was confirmed and concieved on my hubby bday 4/2/10!!! hows that for inspiration??? dont loose hope, it will hapen, use OPK fertility monitor (clearblue) and track ur temps every moring before getting up, same time. lots of baby dust to you and me. i will O, hoping tmrw or mothers day weekend, im excited. my OPK are getting darker. keep me updated. how are ur temps? This month AF is two days late, but I am scared to test; I cannot stand the disappointment. I think I have started to feel it is perfectlty ok if it does not happen again,but I want it so bad! I feel really good about this cycle, I enter my fertile period tomorrow, so I've got DH holding out and then we will BD every other day, since my dr. told me we went waaaaaaaaay overboard last cycle! I am 2 months past TR and also had a baseball size tumor removed from my uterus, so I have had alot of healing. I' am wondering if there is alot of scar tissue on my uterus from the surgery and from past c-sections. ? My dr. thinks we have a great chance still, so we are going for it! For all of you waiting to test, I am the wrong person because i am a test pusher! I buy way too many online, because they are cheap and I am addicted. i can't wait to start opk's tomorrow and watching those lines get dark! Last month I O'd on cd 16 I think, I'll have to check my calendar. I have been temping also and I'm about a 97.4 every morning. Hope you all have an amazing mothers day and look forward to updates! But just HAD to do it, lol. I have tons of hpt's here as well but this time I gave them to hubby to hold on to, so I don't get tempted to start early again. I do have to say for some reason this month I am more at peace and relaxed, rather than stressing if this is going to be our mth. Don't ever give up hope, our dr's told us, we only had about a 20% or less chance of conceiving and me carrying to term. Reply by Swimmom » May. 13, 2012 2:55pm angel- wow! that is awesome! i started this cycle alot more relaxed...I'm thinking..hey I'm only 42 and my cycles are regular and there is no reason to get worked up....I will be 43 in 4 days!!!! hurry hurry get the opk and evening primrose and all the vitamins I can afford! I became crazy again and I've got like 3 different ovulation predictor calendars telling me three different things.! So I am driving dh crazy. I just stood there and watched him take two maca tablets against his will. ROFLMBO! The truth is, it is all in Gods timing anyway. No matter what I do or DH does, God has a plan.....sigh....I even quit drinking coffee which is my favorite addiction. Please let this be my miracle cycle and the same for ALL my over 40 friends! Thanks for joining me, I think after 40 we have special needs, and feel the tick tock a little faster. Have a wonderful mothers day! Reply by Swimmom » May. 14, 2012 1:16am I've been dealing with a little bit of insomnia lately...sigh....DH took me to to see Avengers tonight. It was actually pretty good. Nothing offensive. It was good to get out! Worked out with my 15 yr old son, (we started going to the gym together) DH grilled some steak, we bathed the twins, tucked everyone in, said prayers, and let the 20 yr old babysit! Super fun. Anyway, of course I have used like 4 of my opk's already, I know I have a problem....lol...but to my surprise, tonights was alot darker than I expected! I may O early this cycle! Bring it on! to you all! Googling foods that are good for comfy uterus....so far just found that pineapple core is good for ?implantation.? Any one hear of this or anything else? I had just had my 3rd son, and was in the middle of a divorce, and my sister was in the operating room with me (csection) and when the dr. asked if I was sure I wanted the TL my sister said "we are not leaving until those tubes are tied". I felt pressured and pushed into it, even thought It was ultimately my decision. So dumb. Anyway, had a TR in march with Dr. Levin in Kentucky. Totally healed, and on our way to one more bebe!!!! We are really getting excited! Sometimes I think dh is more excited than me. Anyway, praying for your sticky bean and happy health pregnancy! I am supposed to O on my b-day which is the 17th of may! (5 diff ones and all were + on 5/12. ) evn my cbfm was peak as well. my temps def showed i O'd yesterday 5/13. ladie sdont loose hope , it will happen, Now im officially 1 DPO,,and counting down my BFP!! just in time for Fathers day.. \ BABY DUST TO MY LADIES... Looking fwrd to our sticky bean...after 2 loses in 7months. God is soo good. All my temps have been great since begin of cycle since the start. I usually do 3-4 opk's a day. :) mommy8- in my thoughts and prayers that you get your BFP as well this mth. What a wonderful Fathers day gift to give to your hubby :). If I "O" like I did last mth on CD 13-14, will have hopefully a BFP just in time for our 17th anniversary :) In regards to the pineapple, I haven't tried it yet, but I have been hearing alot about it helping with implantation, I believe it is the core that you need to eat. I also undertand being pressured into getting tubes tied, I have heard nothing but from family and friends since we had our son last yr. Hubby and I did talk about getting it done, and I was going to. But when the day for my appt with my OB to discuss it came, it just didn't feel right to me, and I won't make a decision like that without being 100% sure. Hubby agreed and supported the decision, to put it in God's hands. Friends and family have really been pressuring, and had to tell some to back off that it is our decision to make.
