Reply by LissaBell » Apr. 27, 2012 11:06am Hey everyone...I've been MIA for a couple weeks (after a BFN last cycle). I'm gonna have to catchup to see how everyone is. We had a very sudden death in our family. A cousin (by marriage) died of ACUTE PANCREATITIS at age 32. INSANE and shocking. Woke up in the middle of the night with stomach pains and died the following day...pancreas ruptured. So his wife and two year old son will be moving next to us. My hubby came to me two days ago and said that he felt like we should stop trying to conceive and try to concentrate on helping be there for them. I'm in agreement. Its a tough decision but I feel like I'll be better able to serve them without another child. Now, it could be a little late for this revelation, lol...and if so, then I'll be overjoyed. But I've accepted that (at least for now) we are done. I just wanted to say how much the support on here has meant and wish you all the best of luck! Report |

Reply by NikiDoll » Apr. 28, 2012 9:22am LissaBell - I am so sorry for you loss - that is such a young age, how awful! I think it's wonderful that you are going to be there for his wife and son when they are most in need, and it's a very selfless decision you've made. I hope that karma comes back to you quickly. ellekayejaye - I know how you feel! When you've been trying for so long, and you finally go to see the doctor, you're just ready to get the testing started and figure out what's wrong! I remember for my first appointment, all he did was talk about my cycles, then talk about what tests we were going to do. He laid out a plan, which helped, but it was frustrating to have to wait (because each test has to be done at a certain point in your cycle). Good luck!! As for me, we did our 3rd IUI cycle yesterday. This month he increased my Clomid dosage. I still only had 2 follicles, but they were much bigger than normal (23 and 24 at ovulation). My husband was a superstar this month, 100 million active little guys Report |

Keep in touch and don't be a stranger to the group.xx Elliekayejaye, I hope the doctors has a great plan for you guys so you can get your NikiDoll - WOW, Wheres Ladysorrow68 does anyone know how she's doing? <3Ladyface<3 How is it going? Any more symptoms? LindsayTom, how is it going? are you in the 2ww now? Any symptoms? It's been very quiet on here the last few days, maybe it's because everyone is waiting to ovulate, I expect things will get moving again in the next week or so. Well after a heart to heart with hubby, we are going to give it one more shot this month, but if that doesn't work we are breaking for a couple of months we already have 3 birthdays in April and really can't do with anymore, so keep you fingers crossed that this is our month Report |

Reply by ellekayejaye » Apr. 30, 2012 10:21am I took not a TTC break but a 'TTC Forum & Facebook' break in October. It was nice to not obsess over ovulation dates/tww/poas and AF for a while and facebook break was to get away from all the scan photos/pregnancy + birth announcements and baby photos. Thinking about doing it again. I'm going to stick around until june when my current cycle ends. Report |

Reply by ellekayejaye » May. 1, 2012 8:09am I'm not really 'taking a break' just yet. But I have decided to cut down my time sent online lol 2 hours a night between 7-9pm. I had my infertility appointment today and I'm in line for blood tests, scan, HSG and my Husband has to do Semen ananlysis. I had an internal examination and some swabs done today and a blood test to check my ovarian reserve. The rest of the tests can't happen until I start my next cycle as they have to happen on certain days. So, roll on June for next period haha Report |

Reply by NikiDoll » May. 3, 2012 3:22pm It's gotten so quiet in here! ellekayejaye - good luck with all of your tests! For the ovarian reserve, are they testing AMH (sp?) levels? Mine were horrible, my ovaries are about 10 years older than I am >.< But I think it's pretty cool that they can get such an accurate look at ovarian reserve these days. Just1more - Fingers are crossed for you!! bahoward - enjoy your break, I took one last year, and it was just what I needed! As for me, today is 6 DPO and I feel a whole lotta nothing. I've been swamped at work, so I haven't had much time to obsess, which is nice. It shocked me when I realized today that I was already 6 DPO lol! I was also in a major car accident a few days before the IUI, my shoulder is still in a lot of pain, the seat belt saved my life (car was totalled, I was hit in the driver's side door), but mad it cut into my shoulder something fierce. I went to my doctor yesterday, and she said there is bruising right down to the bone, so that pain prevents me from focusing on what might be happening down below :/ Oh well, again, that's probably a good thing, less obsessing :D Report |

Reply by luv2luvu » May. 3, 2012 3:39pm Nikidoll~ I'm sorry to hear about your accident... I hope you have a speedy recovery... If you ache and hurt a lot, I highly recommend that if you can you draw a nice warm bath and put a tablespoon of Ginger powder in it... It'll probably make you sweat profusely, so it's a good idea to keep a large beverage handy so you don't get dehydrated... I have 2 slipped discs, and a subplexated collarbone from a car accident and ginger baths work better than anything else to control my pain and enable me to sleep well... Report |

Reply by _snowwhite_ » May. 5, 2012 12:42am If I ever get out of this damned hospital I'll try those ginger baths. I need something to control my pain since medication isn't cutting it. As for pregnancy. I'm utterly convinced I am. However because of probability I doubt I am. I have almost every sign in the book. I need to start focusing on my recovery though it's really in the hands of the doctors. And focus less on if I am and if I'm not. I'm convinced the doctors are not Report |
