BYOB: We Need Some BFPs!!

Hi ladies!

Well, it's that time again! Lets kick things off the same as usual, with an update...

My name is Joy
I am 28, and dh is 29
we've been together almost 10yrs
Got married and bought a house together in 2009
From Canada
I'm currently a housewife, but hope to soon be a stay at home mom
I got pg back in the summer of 2010 then m/c'd at 8 weeks
We ttc for 8 cycles after the m/c, (10 months)
We have a nursery room all set up waiting for baby
I got my BFP on June 30th 2011
Went for an u/s b/c of spotting on Aug 12 2011 @ 10 weeks
Baby only measured 8 weeks with no heartbeat
M/c began Aug 18th
Since then I have been rushed to the hospital 3 times for excessive bleeding (once via ambulance cause I passed out)
I have had 2 emergency D&C's, 2 Folley Ballooons, 3 blood transfusions of 2 bags each, & a Hysteroscopey. (Not to be confused with a "HysterECTAMY")
I FINALLY got my 1st af on Nov 17th
I couldnt ttc the last 2 cycles, but we are hoping to be back at it this cycle!
I am currently on cd11
Right now I am taking my prenatal vitamin, my iron suppliment, and am chartting my bbt. I plan on using opks this weekend (hoping dh will be home in time for O) and when we bd we will use preseed!

Wow thats getting to be a loooooong into!!

This is the best group out there - these ladies are all amazing!! They are my online bffs and I love them all! Dont know what I would do without you ladies!!

Hope everyone had a great Monday!!!
Joy

Thanks Hannah, Nicole and talless - Glad to be here

Congrats talless on your and thanks for sharing that information

I saw that there are some other irregular ladies on here as well so does anyone have sone ideas on how to shorten a cycle? The waiting to O really gets me down more than the TTW I have tried Maca powder but after my last MC my doctor and I discussed that it was best if I not use that for now to eliminate a hormone problem when I go off it when I got BFP. Althought It really did not shorten my cycles at all and I was on it for 5 months. I have also changed my diet just like Hannah. Only healthy foods.

I am hoping now that there has been one in this thread it will bring good luck to the rest of us

Hi ladies!

Yikes I actually missed a lot for a change! (LOVE it!)

Jenn - That would be awesome if we got twin bfps on our twin cycle!! I'll be keeping my for the both of us! Sorry to hear you're still stuck with the cast thats gotta be frustrating... have you at least been able to get some bding in?

Gummy - Yay for 6dpo!

Nicole - I agree, hopefully talless' bfp is the first of many in a lucky streak for our thread!!

bug - lol, glad you have a plan!

talless - Thanks sweetie! Keeping my that yours is the first of many bfps for this thread! Would be nice for all of us to be able to move over to the byob thread on cmp together!

Caren - Welcome! These truely are some of the best ladies around! I am sure you will love it here! Sorry to hear about your losses Not sure how you could go about shortening your cycle... hopfully you will get your bfp soon and wont have to worry about it.

Laura - Welcome to the thread! I am sure you will love these ladies! Yikes, thats a long cycle, I thought my 30-36 days was bad!! Hope you get your bfp for Valentine's Day!

AFM - My bbt was messed up this am, so I did the math and had to subtract .2 degrees from my bbt to accomodate the hr late I took it. Grrr... so frustrating. Then tomorrow I am supposed to be up early so that will probably screw things up yet again! Boo! Regardless of what the temp says though I am pretty sure today was O day... cramps havent been quite as bad as yesterday and got a negitive opk this am. If I do get preggo this cycle I will be due on my nephews bday!!

Joy

I don't even know where to begin.

U/S was done trans-vaginally and I got scared when I saw the tech typing in Fibroid. and Endo. Of course, I started crying, and the tech was like hunnie I have been in your shoes. I have one biological miracle and one adopted miracle. You will have a miracle, don't you worry. So, after seeing the tech for the u/s I had to wait for like 15 minutes to see Dr. H. While waiting in the waiting room. I had walked out and sat down of course I had been crying so my face was red and puffy and my eyes were watery. A Young teenager who was sitting behind me with her young grandmother and mother made a statement that made me so mad. She said, "Why am I the only cheerful pregnant lady in this waiting room? The others look so gloomy." It took every ounce of me to not turn around and say something rude to this chick. There was 3 other women in the room who was pregnant and I the only one not. I wanted to say, " NOT EVERYONE IS PREGNANT! I AM TRYING TO HAVE A BABY" Ugh. So, I was very grateful when they called me back into the room to see Dr. H. Well, Dr. H. say,s my ovaries look awesome, I don't have PCOS. My uterus looks great expect that I have a small 1.5x1.5 Fibroid on my posterior uterus wall. That she says will not effect anything unless when i do get pregnant my baby decided to attach itself to the fibroid instead of the Good tissue wall. So, Looks like I'm working correctly. She said she could have given me Metform since I'm pre-diabetic but since I don't have PCOS she said she doesn't recommend it. Of course, she said I could go on BC for 2 months and then more than likely get pregnant after being off cause she says your more fertile after being on BC. So, she says for me to get my DH SA done and if the HSG but she recommends us trying 6 more months if we don't get the other stuff done. "You are still young, she said to me" Of course, in my eyes I'm not so young anymore. Now I need to find a fertility specialist to check out the DH. It's crazy, Cause I cried when I had nothing wrong with me and I guess its because I always thought it was me. Now to see if the swimmers are swimming correctly. Next step.

Quirks, Sorry you had to get another cast on.

Caren, I tried maca for one cycle and it made me O very late like 9 days. I was disappointed with the maca. but my hubby is on it and it has helped him out in his department.

Joy, Sorry your having bbt messing up. Fx'd you catch that eggie.

Mrs. Rogers, Fx'd af stays away.

congrats talless , we needed a bfp hope yours is the first of many....

@ first baby , regarding you asking how dh went for his sperm test, well we went the docs together and got sent for our tests pretty much together, he wasnt wanting to go he was dreading it been because of him, but one thing that did help was that we actually did the deed at home and took it to the hospital afterwards it has too be as quick as possible , we were there within 20 mins , would that make him feel any better? since finding out it was him my dh has been a broken man really but we are better this year trying hard to be positive and working on making things better the fs said even bad results can be changed with lifestyle changes he said nothings impossible.
i hope you get the answers you need hun .

afm im waiting to O its due valentines day im hoping its a good sign....lol still been good no drinking / smoking etc....

good luck to everyone else

Hope it's ok if I jump in! I've taken a long break from these sites after getting discouraged with ttc. We've been ttc for 18 cycles now w/o a single positive result. After being diagnosed with Unexplained Infertility, we've tried two rounds of Clomid and two IUI's with Clomid. Now we're taking a few months off to recover and gear up for IVF this summer, or, possibly, a natural BFP??

Congratulations to those who just got the BFP's! Wishing you !

For those who have been ttc for a while, how do you keep your spirits up? I feel like I've tried everything but do get pretty down sometimes. It's so hard when everyone around you seems to get pregnant so easily or assume that they willl as soon as they decide to start trying. I have felt so alone in this process and hoping to connect with some women who can relate.

@hoping for a miracle , i really relate to you hun we have been ttc for 2 years , dh has sperm motility issues, it has put mega strain on us and ive felt depressed for months on and off i just try and live with it now and keep hopeful , without hope i would have nothing , if we do not concieve by summer we are trying ivf too.

stay positive hun

miracles do happen , this thread has had a few too , i joined over a year ago as i felt alone these ladies are a great comfort i hope we all help you too

I fell out of it lately so I am going to attempt a long post... lets see how long my hand holds out for lol

Welcome to the new ladies!! This is an amazing place. To whomever asked, It is very hard to keep up and I think its normal to have a bit of depression over ttc here and there. I know what u mean with it seems like everyone is pregnant or thinks its easy. I have watched my best friend, my twin sister and my cousin get pregnant and 2 out of the 3 have babies since I started TTC. Like Emma said, this thread is what has kept me going and knowing I can vent and these ladies always understand!

Emma: hoping valentines is lucky for you!!!

bugttc: I have wanted to scream at people sooo much during TTC. Its amazing how much people dont know about trying for a baby. I have gone as far as deleting an old good friend from facebook because she wouldnt stop complaining about her pregnancy and how bad she just wanted it over with. Just remember that they dont know ur struggles and them being so quick to judge, dont deserve ur attention or energy!

MrsRogers: with my daughter, I wasnt trying and I didnt have any symptoms so I didnt realize I was pregnant until 13 weeks along. It happens at different times for different pregnancies... dont give up hope yet!

Joy it is frustrating! but yes we have worked our way around the cast and covered our bases this month!!! so heres hoping we both caught the egg!!

crn: I dont have long or irregular cycles so I am of no help, sorry.

Im sorry if I skipped anyone but my arm is starting to hurt so gotta stop typing!

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Heya Ladies!

My name is Kat and I got pregnant here on CTP almost one year ago. Gosh, I can't believe it's been that long already. I am so fond of all of the ladies on here that I can't help but pop on to check on all of you and catch up. I officially "graduated" from CTP and have now "graduated" from CMP a couple of months ago as well when my little daughter Gemma was born. I look forward to coming back to CTP again full-time when we try for number two, but for now I am just here to cheer you all on.

Joy - Congrats on getting to start trying again. <3 Glad your dh is back and hope you have fun bd'ing.

Emma - Good for you on the weight loss and lifestyle changes you have made. That's fantastic.

Welcome! to the new ladies ... welcome back! to the returnies and lots of to every single one of you.

*Gemma cries from the other room*
Got to go! :)
