Who wants to get Sept BFP's!! After trying for a few months.

Hi Everyone!

I am trying to muster up any confidence I have left at this point and feeling very discouraged do to our situation. In comparison to some ladies I know I am not as bad but still feeling down from last month and the prior 6 months total as well. Me and my husband have been trying since beg March this year and we are both healthy and young enough to start a family but no luck yet. I have connected with some ladies and it seems everyone of them has gotten a BFP on their first try or so and I would like to hear from those of you who are in my position where you are still trying and its just taking longer. I am looking for some support and stories about your journey so far and what you think of timing and any other methods you have been following. I'm interested to hear your thoughts now that we've all been at it for a while. What do you beleive in and what are you not going to try anymore?

For us, we tried for about 2 months the normal way just with me taking prenatals and not really understanding the timing of the O day and OPK's or anything like that. After that I researched about those things and figured out what timing was better than others and started using OPK's just to pin point my days, however, I have always been on a solid schedule of 26 day cycles and I know when AF comes each month so I'm not sure how much that has really helped me honestly. I also logged my BBT for a month and it felt more stressful than I think it should and it didn't help me really so I stopped that too. Now that we have passed the 6 month mark, I am scheduled to go to the fertility doctor and see what they can tell me or test for incase there is a bigger problem going on. I feel we have timed everything right for at least 3 or 4 months now and nothing ever changes. I even had my DH do a home test that came out positive for being at least at a normal sperm count.

So, what are your thoughts? What's your story? How long have you been TTC and what are going to do from this point on different?

I can't wait to hear from you! I need to know I'm not alone in this!

You're giving me a little too much credit - I didn't change much of my eating habits at all - I just always ate that way.

I'm lucky too cause my husband loves to cook (and make a mess, but that's ok) so I end up just bringing leftovers to work for lunch the next day. I don't like soda or sweet drinks much either so mostly I just drink water all the time (except when I was drinking too much coffee, lol)

I like my sweets and treats too but my thought is that it's all good in moderation! I figure if you try to forbid something completely then you want it even more, which leads to bad things, lol. So just have a little bit of everything (and not all on the same day, haha).

Now... if I can only get DH to give up his "occasional" (so he says) cigarrettes.

Well let me start by saying I am Christian and believe in walking by faith! Let me just tell my story to help everyone understand my story.

On April 2nd my husband and I decided we wanted a baby, but my tubes were tied. It cost anywhere between 15-25k dollars which we really didnt have laying around anywhere. I did a ton of research to see if any insurance would cover the reversal and NO insurance company would cover it because it is an eletive surgery. Well I old my husband I was going to pray about it and belive God. Then it came to me to call our insurance company and just pose the question. Well we fell under a technicality based on where my husbands insurance is based ( IL) even though we live in another state. As long as we used an In Network Provider it would be covered 80%. The doctor I was considering was the best in this region PLUS he was IN Network. My first appoinment was schedule for June 4th, but I didnt want to wait until then and I told my husband I'd liek to have them untied as a Mothers Day gift. We ended up getting a call on April 23rd asking could we come in on April 24th because there was a cancellation. Of course we went and all the testing was completed within the following week and I was able to have surgery on May 7th ( my Mothers Day gift) . Guess what... if I am pregnant the baby would be due May 7th.

Now to answer your question about what have I done. Well the baby has a drawer of cloths that I have bought, I also bought my 10 year old a charm that says "big sister" that I will give to her when we announce I am pregnant and I carry around a pait of baby booties in my purse as a constant reminder of Gods promise to me!

I belive everything that has happened has been by Gods divine intervention and favor so I am trusting and waiting on God. I pray this is encouragement to anyone who reads it. I pray for those on this site because I believe in miracles as long as people trust God and know that everything is in His timing not ours.

Thanks for the story!! How cool would it be to have May 7th as a due date!! I will send good thoughts your way.
I think the bracelet idea for your ten year old is a great idea. I have a 9 year old who is just dying to be a big sister and I would love to get her a bracelet like that. She would think that is the coolest thing ever!

woah the thread got busy there didn't it?!

I am on day 4 of clomid, not feeling too bad overall.

As for the healthy eating I am trying to eat more fruit, taking a pregnancy multivitamin, cutting out caffeine and swapped Soda for water... oh no alcohol either

@TSIMMONS - Your story is inspiring to all women and I really do need to remember that this is in GOD's hands and need to trust in him and believe that it will happen for us when the time is right.

And that is so sweet to get bracelets @BGGirl & @TSIMMONS - they will always think that is so special and that they are just as important. I would do the same thing for my first when I'm having my second. :)

@el2011 - You're so luck your DH cooks for you. If I ever cook enough he gets to take the left overs to work the next day and I fend for myself. But I have always been that way with him, I always make sure he is happy and has what he needs before me. I have a feeling some of that will go away once I'm the one who is needy. lol
Cigarettes are not good at all but hopefully that need goes away on its own for him :)

@elllekayejaye - Good luck your Clomid this cycle. to you too!

BGGirl - Did AF ever show up for you? Mine still hasn't!!!! What the heck is going on with me?? UGH

Welcome FutureMommy87! :) I'm very sorry for your loss I know that is probably a terrible time and I hope that you are blessed with a BFP in the coming months as well. Have you gone to see a specialist or anything since then?

Morning ladies!

I finally got my today so at least I can start my new cycle again for September. :)

Welcome futuremommy!

@mrsaskew- Me too. Hate starting all over again but at least I can stop feeling in limbo. Fighting a migraine. I get these usually on the first or second day of cycle. My mother in law loves to tell me that I must be going through early menopause which drives me crazy! :(

@BGGirl - OMG why would she ever say that??? What a mean thing to say. Sorry girl. :( Well we are both on CD 1 today but my cycles used to be only 26 days but I think my average just jumped to 27 now because of me being late for it by 3 days. whatever. oh well here's to Sept BFP's!!!!!

@TSIMMONS - Did you test at all yet? Happy 10 DPO - your TWW is almost over! :)

Welcome futuremommy! I would have been due on July 27th also and I also need to step up the sex - who knew it would be so hard to get men on board with sex, lol - so I know what you mean :/ hopefully this is our month though!

@mrsaskew yeah I try not to nag too much about the cigarettes thing because he doesn't do it all the time and I know he's going to quit the minute we get pregnant but part of me worries that it's no good for babymaking either.
