It’s finally sinking in. I really am pregnant! I had my beta level checked Friday and again today. Wednesday it was 12.7, Friday it was 53, and today it was 258! My progesterone was low on Friday (9), so they upped me to 200 mg of prometrium three times a day, but they are confidant it will do it’s job. I’m exhausted, a little dizzy on and off, gassy (Sorry!), and ELATED! After my loss in June, this first week was really difficult and nerve-wracking, testing everyday and obsessing about the darkness of the lines. I know that there are no guarantees, but I’m feeling good about things now. I have my first ultrasound on February 15th and I can’t wait to see my little baby bean!

My son turned three on Saturday and I feel so blessed to be adding to our family now! I plan to keep the news quiet for awhile, but the support from my online “family” has been incredible! The bonds made between woman who ttc are so strong.

I can’t believe that around October 4th I will be a mother of two! It’s an incredible feeling!

Thank you for reading my story here! I’m not sure if I go on writing here or not, but it’s been amazing sharing my story. Best Wishes to you all!

  1. Congratulations! I’m interested to know more about how you can assess the increase in HGC by the lines getting darker each time you test. I think I’m going to do this because I’ve still got lots of tests left over and I haven’t been lucky the last couple of times I got a positive test result.

Wishing you a healthy happy pregnancy :)

    • Hi Fiona and thanks! I tested for about the first week to 10 days after my BFP. I used the same test brand so it would be as consistent as possible and I really noticed at least a slight difference everyday. It was interesting to watch. So far, I’m 14.5 weeks pregnant and doing well. Good luck on your journey!

  2. After reading your post on HSG testing….i had to see if it worked for you! I’ve hear tons of success stories with the testing that many women will become pregnant within the first few months and have came to the conclusion that i may set myself up an appt. for it as well. Congrats!!

  3. Aww congrats! Happy and.healthy 9months
