Got a faint BFP, why did the Doc's test come up BFN?

I tested yesterday (2 days before missed period) and got a faint BFP on an early detection test (up to 4 days before missed period). Used FMU.
Went to the Dr office to confirm and got a BFN from them. Not sure how sensitive their tests are so I'm not convinced. It was late morning and I barely had any urine saved up in my bladder, but they insist it should have picked something up. Nurse said if I'm past 3 weeks they would have had something show on the test.
I read in other forums that this has happened to a lot of ladies because the Doc's urine tests aren't as sensitive as they say.
I'm going to wait a few more days and see what happens, maybe I've tricked myself into thinking I'm preggers and AF will show up. I'll test again after my expected period date and hope for the best!
Has anyone else dealt with this?
