Late period BFN. Do I still have a chance?

I’m late by 3 days. I tested both yesterday and today not with first morning urine. Both were bfn. It was a first response early result and a dollar store test. Am I testing too early? Do I still have a chance to get that bfp? Anyone that can share their experience of getting a bfp after their missed period? I didn’t track ovulation this cycle. Thank you.
