8 days late, 3 test taken all negative. Is it possible I'm still testing to early?

I also used a dollar store pink\red dye test. Should I try a blue dye test? Heard some say they are better. I do not want to jump the gun and go to the doctor to possibly be let down. Has any of you had the same happen?
