Question

Need info on twins

Okay my grandmother was a twin, her daughter(my aunt) had twins, and when my mother was having me she had 2 water bags and placenta but it was never confirmed that I was a twin. So here's my thoughts I already have one child that is 4 and in early next year I'm coming off BC and going to try for another. Just curious as to what my chances of conceiving twins? Thank you ????

I think your odds of twins are not as high as your aunt's children's chances. If she has a daughter, her chances would be possibly 1 in 7. Your chances really depend on whether or not you tend to release more than one egg, which is a genetic trait, but odds are higher if your mother or grandmother actually is a twin more so than if they'd ever been pregnant with twins. That's not to say you don't have an increased chance, but I'd guess your likelihood would at least be less than 1 in 7 since your mother wasn't a twin.
