Question

LOW IRON?

I am currently 8DPO, and just had blood test results back saying my iron levels are extremely low. I had my blood taken 4DPO. Looked on NHS website (sucker for looking up medical advice), and it says the most common cause of IRON deficiency is heavy periods or pregnancy in women of a reproductive age (22)... been peeing loads too...thoughts? Could I be pregnant? Would iron levels drop that quickly so early on?

Hi, you could be pregnant but even if you are your levels don't usually start to drop until around the third trimester, so you have a low iron level for some other reason GL x

I have been told that low iron can be a contributor to miscarriages happening on that note though this may be individual results meaning doesn't happen to all. As for if it can indicate early pregnancy I dont think it would be reliable. Do a hpt at 12 dpo for possible positive results good luck
