Pregnant just one cycle after methotrexate injection...
I had an ectopic pregnancy diagnosed and terminated with a methotrexate injection on June 19th. I was 7 weeks to the day. It was very hard and I didn't have a period until August 11th. We were not trying to conceive by any means but ended up bd'ing the 26-27th. I became worried and actually took Plan B on the 28th. I read on the pamphlet that I should begin my period within a week of taking the pill. So yesterday I bought a hpt (1st Response) and there were two pink lines. One was vf but pressent none the less. I have taken the 2nd test this afternoon with a much much darker line. It appears that my levels are rising much quicker than with my ectopic.... I have an apt on the 12th but have now really freaked myself out by googling. Can someone please tell me of a similar experience, good or bad?! I would appreciate any help at this point!

Hey, I can totally understand your concern! I had an ectopic in 2015, got methotrexate shot on 10th of September 2015 which didn't work (9weeks pregnant) so I had laparoscopy on the 16th of September. I got told to wait 1 cycle before trying again (my husband is a doctor and he is saying methotrexate is out of your system within 1 week of the shot tho). I got my positive pregnancy test on the 5th of November 2015 without having a period in between...I was googling like crazy but I do have a healthy 1 year old now :) I was taking stronger folic acid because methotrexate killed it all. Your baby will be ok:)

Thank you Kertu85! I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon if the weather doesn't have it canceled. I greatly appreciate you sharing your story. The ectopic and this pregnancy were not planned but I have been a nervous wreck after reading all the horror stories out there. I've been taking a prenatal for a little over a week so I am supplementing some folic acid... praying my doctors office is open and to receive good news. Thank you again for your words of encouragement, they were definitely needed!
