How will I know how many weeks I'm pregnant?

I ovulated on August 24th,2017 and I don't know how many weeks pregnant I am or even if I am pregnant. When should I take a home pregnancy test and when would I experiennce the symptoms.

I also ovulated 8/24 and planning to test saturday 9/2 and sunday 9/3 (9&10 dpo, respectively), period is due Monday 9/4 if my cycle is 28 days. My period was 8/7 so I ovulated about 17 or 18 days after the day of my first period.
