It might be breakthrough bleeding.
I had a little spotting on the day AF was due which lasted 2 days, but it was very little and very mucus-y. On third day after missed period, I got my BFP.
Maybe take a test in the morning, because you could still be pregnant!

You can definitely implant the day af is due and after depending on how long your luteal phase is. It's unlikely that it happens 15+dpo just cause by then the blastocyst would have attached to something by then whether in the uterus or in the Fallopian tube and that's if the egg was fertilized.
