10 days late negative pregnancy test

I had my last period on July 8. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on July 22 and 23. My cycles are usually a 28-30 day period so I was in my fertile window. Due to my acne coming back, I started birth control pills on July 30. They were a very low dosage and my period was due on August 3 so I'm now 10 days late. I had only taken 4 pills before my period was due so I didn't think it could make me miss a period entirely? Also for about a week after having sex I felt flu-like symptoms and also had a pretty bad of diarrhea.. I felt fine for a few days and now I am very bloated and just feel tired all of the time. I took a test a few days before I even missed my period and it was negative. I took a test today at 10 days late and it's still negative... I have made a doctors appointment but they couldn't get me in until next week! So I thought I'd come on here and see if anyone has ever had a negative pregnancy test this late on and still ended up pregnant!
