How long to hold urine to take a HPT

Hello,

I am wondering how long to hold urine to take a HPT. I spaced it and did not test with my FMU. Since I have irregular cycles I am not sure if I have missed my period but I really need to know if I am pregnant. I want to make sure if I am there is some HCG in the urine. Sorry if I confused anyone. Thanks for the advice!

A 4 hour hold is meant to be best but I can never hold that long so I normally do a light workout and then test as for me it gives me a stronger line (if positive obviously). Good luck x
