Why am I late for my period?

I am nine days late for my period, sometimes I'm a day early but mostly its on time ... however I did a pregnancy test and it came back negative. Could it be that I got a false negative because I did the test in the evening? I have a few pregnancy symptoms. What could be the side of my late period?

It could be a lot of things, stress being the big one. Do you know how many days past ovulation you were when you took the PT? I think you should take another one. Here's hoping you get a BFP!
