Who has Factor V Leiden?
I have Factor V Leiden and another gene mutation which increases my risk of clots. Has anyone else had trouble with getting pregnant? If so, how have you dealt with it and has anyone been successful? Congrats if you have! I have a feeling its implantation that is a priblem for me as blood is too thick but this hasnt been explored with gyn. Currently on first months round of letrozole and baby aspirin and have everything but my legs crossed!

I don't have factor v but my doctor suspected another unknown clotting issue due to implantation failure and my medical history. I went through 6 ivf transfers and 3 early miscarriages before they finally put me on lovenox injections starting from implantation time. 9 months later my daughter arrived! I was on baby aspirin through the 1st trimester, lovenox until 36 weeks and then heparin until the day before delivery. How long have you been trying? If it's been at least 12 months I would highly suggest seeing a reproductive endocrinologist or immunologist or both who would be better equipped to treat your issue.

Hi. Yes I have Factor V Leiden. I had so much trouble getting pregnant I thought I couldn't. Then at 38 I found myself pregnant....so...yes...it can happen. I had no trouble with the pregnancy other than they induced two weeks early as you must be off blood thinners...so they plan you an induction. And yes...you continue with blood thinners but not in pill form...you have to give yourself shots. While not fun I was able to do it. Afterall...he was worth it! So...try and keep trying! Remember I was 38...so if its meant to be it will be!
