Question

Positive test confusion

So I posted a picture of my "positive" pregnancy text yesterday and 70% said it's positive, I was doubting it due to the line having curves at the top and bottom, and it disappeared after the time window of 5 minutes although the line was pink!! So I retested this morning using fmu and it's negative, can't see a second line at all????
Was yesterday's test wrong, could it have been an invalid test due to the line not being the same width all the way along? Or could today's negative test be wrong?
I am going to see a doctor but can't get in until next week so seeking advice on here????

A positive result should be straight and as thick as the control line. Most tests have a line that will briefly show as the dye crosses, but this is not a positive result. A true positive will also get darker each day as hcg rises fairly rapidly in early pregnancy.

Thank you for your help. So how come the line is pink like it would be with a positive test? This is misleading to me

I can't see it but it could be the antibody strip as the dye runs across or also a dye run. I know first response and some of the dollar store brands will give a squiggly line as the dye initially runs across it. If it's positive it will straighten out and darken and if it's negative it will disappear, but sometimes the dye runs and leave a smudge mark.

That explains things better! The line disappeared after the 5 minutes you're meant to read it in! Thank you very much
