Question

Help!

Im on birth control pills but had sex twice during my most fertile times. May 26th and June 4th. June 4th I started having brown discharge and my breasts are very sore and tender. I also think my areolas are darker. Am I pregnant?

if you are on birth control (and you didn't specify what kind i.e. pill. implant. IUD. diaphragm ect) hormonal birth control inhibits ovulation therefore no fertile window. chance of pregnancy is low with methods like the diaphragm as long as you also had your partner wear a condom and even more so using spermicide. If you are using NFP (natural family planning) you need to be VERY in tune with your cycles and body (including cervix position and mucus yep I know icky).

Unfortunately many signs of early pregnancy, like the ones you describe can also by signs of PMS, sometimes a surge of hormones causes spotting of lining which is old blood by the time you see it, tender and sore breasts are also common.

Your only option to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test. Urine ones are very reliable but if you really want to know and you haven't had your period after a week, and the urine tests are negative (this happened to my twin sister) a blood test will tell you for sure.
