Ttc number 3
I currently have 2 gorgeous boys which were both conceived on the first try. Myself and dh started trying for number 3 and have had 4 failed months so far. Of course I didn't expect to be successful first time like before as I know we were extremely blessed! My question is though with each attempt I've had a late period which has been unusually long, clotty and painful. On a normal cycle I would be 28 days bang on every time without fail with a normal flow and only the slightest discomfort so to be late, long, clotted and painful is totally out of the ordinary for me. Any ideas what might be happening with me? Any suggestions appreciated....thanks ladies!!

I'm ttc #3 as well ???? I conceived babies 1 and 2 first try, as well as baby #3 last month first try but had a miscarriage ???? I'm in my tww this month to see if I've conceived again first try but I highly doubt it!
I'm not sure why you're having unusual periods... do you know what day you ovulate and how long your luteal phase is? Although a short luteal phase wouldn't mean late, painful periods. Maybe a visit to your dr is in order to see why you're having trouble ttc this time and if it has anything to do with your irregular periods.
Good luck and I hope you get a bfp soon!

Thanks for your reply!! Looks like we're in a similar situation! I'm going to carry on as normal for now and if I get more concerned I'll visit the doc for sure. I think though that dh would just say it's not meant to be and to just be happy with the 2 that we have already, I don't think he would be 100% supportive of investigating why we can't conceive this time around. I was partly wondering if I was having missed miscarriages...could that be a possibility?
Good luck to you too!!!!

I've had 1 child and 2 mc after and am currently trying for my next one. My Dr told me after every mc or birth think of it as your very first period because your body changes to different cycles each time and can alter the amount of blood and clots etc. It doesn't always change but its like a new you if that makes sense. Hope this helps but as the others have said could be chemical pregnancy. Good luck xxx
