Stop taking metformin. That's never good even if the doctor recommends it. It's for dietetics. I have severe PCOS and have had it for years. Your periods will be off and always have pain and stuff (I also have endometriosis) but it'll happen. I'm currently late for my period as well and it's a crappy feeling. But you can still conceive even if you have PCOS. I did with my son.

Do research on insulin resistance/regulating insulin levels with the help of a "PCOS diet".

I have pcos & insulin resistance and have 4 kids and currently ttc for number 5. It can be done but it is hard. Some things I have done in the past are...with baby 1, we saw a specialist & did an IUI which consisted of clomid & famara. That was an intense time of trying, lots of money & lots of meds. Baby 2 came naturally (which the doc said may happen, I was surprised though). Babies 3 & 4 came with just one round of clomid. I recently lost 50lbs & that regulated my cycles too. Best of luck! Don't give up!
