Possible chemical pregnancy?
I'm curious to hear some opinions. During my TWW last cycle I had multiple pregnancy symptoms (extreme fatigue, mild cramping/pressure, tender breasts, etc) I took 2 hpt on 9dpo and 11dpo both negative. Then AF came right on time but it was a horrendous af. My cramps were debilitating, I had to leave work (which I've never had to do before), I was in so much pain that I just laid there and cried in bed most of the day until I passed out. And the bleeding was much lighter than usual and only lasted 3 days. Is it possible that I had a chemical pregnancy w/o a positive hpt? And if so is af usually that painful if there is a chemical pregnancy? Thanks in advance!

No it's probably not possible. Most chemical pregnancies result in fairly high levels of hormones and then a late period. You had no positive test and your period was right on time so it's safe to say it was likely a rough period which happens from time to time. Might be a good sign for next month! Good luck to you!

I have had positive pregnancy tests with both my chemical pregnancies. One resulted in a very painful AF, the second was completely normal. With each my period was late, from 3 days to over a week.
It is possible to have a chemical pregnancy or even an ectopic pregnancy without a positive pregnancy test, but it is unlikely.

I have had something somewhat similar last month. The reading I have done seem so say that when the egg and sperm meet, this is a chemical reaction. Those chemical changes can make changes in our bodies. But maybe something with the implantation went wrong. It stinks, doesn't it? So I think that means we did something right.
