How soon does Natural Progesterone Cream raise progesterone levels enough to maintain a pregnancy?
I have had a luteal phase defect for 6 months preceeded by anovulatory cycles following the birth of my last child. My midwife from my previous pregnancy suggested EPO to help lengthen my luteal phase. I tried that for a couple months but it did not work and I had a very early miscarriage last month. I am now using a natural progesterone cream (started after O was confirmed using nfp and opks). Should I wait to ttc or is it safe as long as I continue using the cream if I get a bfp?
Thanks!

Hello!
I didn't have any cramping. I have been using Emerita Progest and this is my 4th cycle using it. My luteal phase ranged from only 5-9 days and my first cycle using the cream my luteal phase was 13 days, so it started working right away for me. I had another early miscarriage last month, but I don't think it was due to low progesterone this time as the cream did successfully lengthen my luteal phase to average. I am going to continue using the cream until we get a bfp. If the next one ends in miscarriage that will be 3 in a row and I will make an appointment with a fertility specialist. All in all the cream has worked really well at lengthening my lp and I haven't noticed any adverse effects.
Have you taken anything else that is new in conjunction with the progesterone cream? Are you using a natural (bio-identical) progesterone cream and are you sure that you are using it in the correct dosage? Just trying to trouble shoot here. Do U have a care provider that you've talked to?
