If a blood test showed an HCG level of 38.4 then odds are very good that you're pregnant. The alternative being a missed miscarriage and your HCG levels are still registering a pregnancy. If you are pregnant, it's still still super early days for you, which is why your level is so low (you're supposed to get AF so you're crazy early), don't worry about that. Your doctor should run another test in a day or two to figure out what your numbers are doing. THAT's the real test. If your numbers go up, and are doubling as they should, then congratulations! If they go down, or don't double like they should be doing, then brace yourself... Good luck!!!
