Question

What went on here?!?! I'm so confused

So here's the story! I am a 26year old healthy and extremely regular. I last had my period March 19th 2017 which only last for like 4 days tops and my cycle is 28days. I always track my period and I ovulate regularly too so normally 14th day or around the same time. So my so call ovulation date was April 2nd which I never had sex on that weekend what so ever. The following weekend so the 8th I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and so my expected period was April 16th which I never got my period.. so I am practically 6 days late which never happens cause I am always regular and so I tested during the week and it was negitive and just today I tested and there is a line stating I am pregnant... so what just happened there? Did I somehow just ovulated EXTREMELY LATE to the point that it landed in the day I had unprotected sex and then now I am pregnant l?!? Does that happen? I just need some enlightenment on what happened here. Thank you!

That is crazy but possible. Actually your cycle is identical to mine. My last period was on March 15th and I was due for it on April 16th but it never came. However, I did just test this morning (6 days late) and it was negative. So I am a little confused about what's going on also. I was supposed to ovulate on April 3rd..

It could be that you ovulated late (a day or so one way or the other is pretty common), or it could be that you had some old sperm hanging around from a day or so before. Healthy sperm can survive inside you for about 4 days. If you had sex March 30th or 31st then there's a good chance that a few of them were just sitting there when you ovulated and you got pregnant from that.
