Question

Are false negatives possible with blood tests?

My period is now a day late. I had gotten a blood test done 3 days ago and it was negative. All the hpt I've done have given me faint but visable lines (I used FR tests). Could I be pregnant?

First response will pick up very low amounts of hcg - sometimes as low as 2 and 5 and under us normal resting hcg levels. Your levels should double every 48 hours so if the line is staying the same faint line then it's probably not a positive result. If the line darkens over a day or two then your levels are rising and you should get another blood draw to verify. Good luck to you!
