TTC
Hi there,
So my friend suggested that i try, FIRST RESPONSE OVULATION TESTS. (I've never used them before, and i wasn't expecting 2 lines honestly) i started testing on the 12th of April, and again on the 13th of April (and it positive) as this is my first time trying, ovulation tests.
as i am confused, in terms of how they work?
I believe from my understanding my ovulation tests came back POSITIVE for April 13 (I've tested at different times)
Today, I've tested again to double check (this one was negative) for April 14. - the line is getting lighter then the reference line.
my question is: since, i tested positive on April 13th with this ovulation test.. when can i test with a HPT?
& does that mean, i have ovulated on April 13th?
i have a 32 day cycle, AF lasts 5 days.

From what I have learned is that you ovulate anywhere between 12 and 36 hours after your first postitive test. The strips tell you that your surge is about to happen and to do the baby dance that day and for the next 3 at least. Spern can live inside for up to 5 days so any baby dancing that week is great. You would want to wait a min of 10 days after ovulation to even try for hpt. Cause it takes approz 6-7 days for your egg to impant if you have conceived. And about 3 days after that to have the hcg hormone be high enough for hpt test to pick up. So I would say anywhere between the 14 and 16th would be your ovulation date. I hope this helps. Good luck to you :)
