Question

Took Duphaston as prescribed but a week late? And negative tests!

So my period is quite irregular and my doctor suggested i take duphaston. I was supposed to take it on the 15th day from my first day of my period. So i took one a day for 2 weeks. My period is supposed to come a couple of days after but it's been a week since my period was supposed to come. My last period was february 24 2017. My hpt tests are also negative. Any thoughts? My doctor said duphaston is supposed to regulate my period but still irregular. :/

Duphaston tablets contain dydrogesterone, a synthetic progesterone. Taking it can lengthen your luteal phase. Taking it too early in the month can also prevent ovulation from occurring. What I read suggests that if you have not had AF within two weeks of stopping it means your estrogen levels are low.

You should probably consult your doctor so he can give you more specific instruction on dosing because its not as simple as taking it day 15 to 29.
