My cousin had an ablation done about 16 years ago and never used birth control after that time. Last year she started feeling movement and thought it was gas pains. However, she did not have regular cycles after the ablation so the fact she had not had a cycle in months didn't cause her any panic. Turns out she was 20+ weeks pregnant. He was born at 37 wks and she delivered vaginally. She did end up having to have an emergency hysterectomy due to a bleed the next day.
