Question

For Better OR For Worse?

Anyone else find that being on this site and on other TTC sites just makes you feel worse, increases your depression/fears, and you come across the most bitter and unhelpful people?
Dont get me wrong, there are some people that are a godsend.

Hi! I saw your question and countdown page and I have a few questions based on your occupation and fertility. What tests were done that show you and your partner have fertility problems? By any chance do you use a fertility monitor? Could it be that you and your partner are missing peak/fertile days? Do you take allergy meds or any other meds (not including any fertility medicine)? I ask about the medicine because I took Zyrtec. The warning label says it can adversely affect those who are TTC. Motrin can have adverse affects while TTC. When I was pregnant with my first child my doc warned me to eat organic fruits/veg/meat and not to eat foods with nitrites. There are a lot; includes deli meats, cured/smoked bacon and other cured smoked meats (see labels), packaged foods with preservatives, fast food (esp Chinese, even grocery frozen ones), pre-pack frozen meals (see label). Do you work fertilizers or harsh chemicals? I'm so sensitive to dish soap that it peels and burns my skin.

Also we don't drink the tap water because it tastes and smells like chlorine. Maybe you're around something that is messing with your bodies chemistry. Taking care of animals or waste or washing them with pet shampoos without gloves or a face mask on can also have adverse affects on pregnancy and fertility. Every now and then I send a prayer request for healing and other things and someone prays for my needs for FREE. It dos not matter to them what your beliefs, they will just pray for you? The place and website is called the Healing Rooms. It's the one located in Spokane, Washington. On their website there is a search bar, type prayer requests. You can type your requests out or chat with someone and get prayer. I hope something I said helps you. Good luck and STAY away from negative people.

I have been through so many tests and through 2 Infertility specialists clinics. I have done everything from having my tubes checked, to having a uterine biopsy, 9 months of 2x daily bloodwork and full blood panels, 1000+ ultrasounds. We have had SA, Swim Ups, Mortality testing, we have done absolutely everything and tried every drug-even the experimental and unapproved methods aside from going into IVF, I am just not ready for that with my schedule. We are not missing fertile days any chance whatsoever. I do not take any medications, I would rather suffer the course of a cold than take the medicine for that. I have no allergies. We eat only what is raised on the farm, no chemicals, no by products, no fertilizers, hormones, growers, nothing. My farm is so bio-secure and aware, with so many protocols for stepping foot on my property, i'd sooner get pregnant from a toilet seat than have ill effects from the animals.. I hope I answered most/all your questions!

Okay that's A LOT of methods of trying. You probably feel or have felt so up to your neck with strong emotions of every kind. That really stinks for you and I'm sorry that's it's worked out like this so far. But you know what I read, "there is a time for everything and a season for every activity". Maybe your has not come. Don't lose hope in the waiting. Try that website I mentioned. It's free and it's run by volunteers so they are not waiting for a paycheck and they are serious about what they do, and it's online. Would you mind if I inboxed you something personal?

I've been thinking about your situation so I decided to read some stuff about mucking stalls, not much but I did read a little blurb about lime which is natural (limestone, I think it's also called calcium hydroxide) being used for cleaning horse stalls. But it's an irritant and when used without gloves or masks can cause some problems. It is also used in lakes for other reasons.

I do not use lime/limestone in my stalls as it can cause respiratory issues when horses are stalled frequently for long periods of time, my stalls are concrete, with 1 3/4 rubber matting, high quality kiln dried 100% pine shavings. My barn is highly ventilated to ensure ammonia levels from the urine never reach a level to be read or considered dangerous for any animal or person. I do not keep dangerous chemicals on the property (organic, virgin land & meat sources) and use only all natural cleaning supplies in the house. Shampoos/conditioners are honey and oatmeal, and scarcely baking soda. Our water is UV treated and tested every 2 months, its very, very clean pure water (we are at a high elevation, and the ground is a good make-up for a natural filtration system in the water table) Haha, some call us weird, I call it being mindful of our-and our animals- health. The worst toxin is the internet lol!

Good God - I'm coming over there to buy food! Sounds wonderful.

Haha! We also only feed the animals what we grow- hay, corns, grains, etc. I hand mill our grains daily, and only enough for what we will consume or bake, It's fun and you really feel wonderful after cutting out all the store-bought junk with preservatives and such, the biggest change was the lack of hormones in the meats, my FIL suffers from chrones and cannot eat store bought meats/grains without consequence, since we started giving him stuff from our farm, he has had no issues and is healthier than he has been in the last 20 years according to his Dr.

You hand mill your own grains? That's awesome! I visited Lancaster, PA and after that whole experience I believe I was meant to live on a farm. Haha. I love that type of life. I live in Long Island and stores here have a small if any, selection of organic fruits/veggies/meats etc. And what they do have is so expensive, especially meat and chicken. I can't find organic potatoes which drives me nuts bc my almost 3 year old loves mash. About your FIL, that's fantastic news, though I am not surprised. Another huge problem here is that officials are finding antibiotics in our water from people dumping them. My hubby and I really want to move. Cancer is very high here. My mom died at 47 of breaks cancer when was 14; 6 months before her, my grandmother at 70 of ovarian, my grandfather of bone about 10 years earlier (all maternal).
