Spotting / Bleeding Only In The Morning?
I'm either 10 dpo or just starting AF. I honestly don't know which. Yesterday and this morning when I woke up I had a bright red "flow" - not enough to make a mess, but more than normal spotting. I figured I'm out this month, grab a liner, and get started on my day. However, for the rest of the day there's nothing; only a hint of spotting and that's dark brown. So now I'm just kind of fed up with my body. Do I call this spotting at 10 dpo or the start of AF? Thus far my HPTs have been negative, but at 10 dpo I'm really not that surprised. Nothing that can be done about it other than to just take it a day at a time. Has anybody else experienced spotting / bleeding only in the mornings? Oy vey.

That depends on how regular your cycle is, what cycle day your period comes, and when you had sex. For example, I get my period on either Cycle Day 26 or 27 every month and I am regular. Can you remember a time or times when you got your period 4 days earlier? If so, it may be your period. Since you said you have brown blood, to me, sounds like implantation bleeding. I'm trying to conceive my second child and today 2DPO for me. With my first pregnancy I didn't have implatation bleeding. I had breakthrough bleeding for 2 consecutive months around the time AF would have arrived if I weren't pregnant. Implantation for my pregnancy was painful. It felt like a localized feeling of something stabbing me. I hope this helps you. Good luck! Let me know how everything goes. ;)

I'm usually pretty regular - 33 or 34 days for me. Though this is my first cycle post-miscarriage where I've actually ovulated, and my ovulation came on day 25 instead of the usual 19 (so a super short luteal phase this time around). I'm also shooting for number 2; but I didn't have any implantation bleeding the first time around so I have nothing to compare this too. It seems to be heavier than others describe... but I didn't consider breakthrough bleeding. That's a good point. I'll have to wait and see (ugh!). Thanks for the advice! Good luck to you; I hope you get your BFP this month!

Did you use a fertility monitor or OPK for this cycle just out of curiosity? How do you check for ovulation and fertile days with a long cycle? I ordered the Clearblue Fertility Monitor to see if I have a bigger fertility window. I'll let you know if it's good if you want. Friend or follow me or vice versa. Does my username info show?

Waecamar0- Yup! Same thing; Clearblue OPK. It's never failed me. That plus a temp shift gave me my ovulation day. I put a call in to my doc, I'll let you know what she thinks about all this "is it or isn't it" crud.
Dakotagurrl- Odds are you're right and I'm just desperately hoping it's not AF. So I'm looking on the bright side and having a fully cafinated coffee tomorrow if this is still going on, with the promise of a glass of wine in the evening. I got about a week before I need to settle back down and try again.

Waecamar0 - Doc just called. She's classifying it as AF just creeping in. A light period that "pools" overnight like Dakotagurrl suggested; I guess spotting wouldn't be enough to do that (though she did say if it was still going on in a few days to call back - could be thyroid or some other craziness that ain't nobody got time for). A weird start to AF, but a start none the less. So I'm out. I get a week of wine and caffeine before I give it all up to try again. Ah well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Good luck!
