Question

Implantation Bleeding at 4dpo?

So this makes no sense to me. I O'd on the 17th, on the 18th I had some pink spotting (I'm assuming ovulation bleeding). Now it's the 21st and I'm having rust-brown spotting. I've also had some twinges (not quite to the level of cramping) on my left side. Do I just have a super egg that flew down the tubes and implanted crazy early? I haven't had much chance to dtd in the past few days so it's not irritation from that. If anybody could shed some light on this I'd appreciate it.

It's probably leftover blood from ur previous spotting, it wouldn't be implantation just yet tho. The egg has certain processes (cell division) it must go through before it can implant, the process takes the same amount of time for everyone, tho implantation timing can vary. Implantation can't start til the egg has completed division and hatched, that's like 6dpo. Cell division is called mitosis (if ur wanting to read more on it). Or u can google "fetal development cleavage" and there are some cool charts to show u what the diff stages are and what days they're at that stage (in and out of the tube/uterus).

Thanks! I'd love to check out those charts! This cycle is wonky and driving me nuts. This is the first one that wasn't anovulatory after my miscarriage and all kinds of new things are going down. I was getting a giggle out of the vision of an egg with a little superman cape flying through my tubes though :D

Haha! My husband has the same image of his sperm. He seems to think they all have capes...I picture them as drunk and bumping into walls, or just going the wrong way altogether. Lol!
