Sore throat

Has anyone ever experienced a sore throat almost like congestion but it's not it's just during swollowing making it hard to swallow or when I stretch my neck out it really is sore I've had a higher temp them my normal body temp and now I'm up to 99.5 the second time in a week has anyone had this a early symptom before being able to test? Thinking I should make an appointment but I don't have body aces like you would with the flu or something..
