Temps should rise 0.3F or higher, in the days following O. The rise should be higher than the previous 6 temps before suspected O. It needs to be a sustained rise tho, not just a temp or two then the rest drop back and stay low. Dips in temp are very normal, it generally happens in the days leading to O (and the surge, most times). It's due to the estrogen rise that happens before the LH surge. It's not limited to that tho, it can also be from outside factors, like using a fan, wearing lighter pjs/blankets, or even sleeping with ur mouth open (if ur temping orally). If u make ur chart visible, I can take a look for u.

That's quite the dramatic drop. I can assume all temps are taken at the same time? Ideally, seeing where they sit before O, they should be higher after O. If they're high becuz they were taken later than the ones closer to ur pos opk, then that will make it a bit trickier to read, but not impossible. Give it another few days to see where they go, and make sure to continue bd'ing. It is possible to O before a positive opk, they depend greatly on urine concentration, but I don't see it happening *that* many days before a positive. Give 'er a few and hit me up and we'll go over it again if u want. In the meantime, keep the ol' man busy with some baby makin'!!. =))

Yes, I take my temp every morning at 6 a.m. I would definitely love to go over it again in a few days! I need all the help I can get with this. That shouldn't be difficult at all to keep the hubs busy! He's loving all this! I wonder if my temps may have impacted by my being sick. I had a cold for the first two or three days of temping. I never had a fever from it though.

A cold will def impact temps, even if u don't hit low-grade fever territory (100+ F), ur body is still working to fight an illness, it just didn't need to go to extremes (fever) to do so. U can leave the 2 high ones as is, and just make a mental note of why they're up there, or u can discard them. They stay on the chart as a green temp but aren't included in the overall reading. Ur call, as long as u know why they're up there, u don't need to discard.

Good to know. I'm hoping after this first month of BBT that i'll get the idea and know what I'm doing next month. Hopefully I'll just get pregnant this month and not have to be worried about it. I already figured out I'm ovulating later than I thought I was normally so that's a big help!

Also, I'm not sure if you would know about this or not but, I've been using CVS brand test strips and CBE digis. The strips came up absolutely positive yesterday evening and this morning, but the digis have yet to give me a smiley face. Any reason for this or any reason I should think I haven't actually ovulated yet?
