I'm so very sorry for your loss! I really think you shouldn't lose hope. Anecdotally, my grandmother got pregnant with my mom when she was 40, and my mom in turn conceived my sister when she was 39. Numerous friends of mine have definitely gotten pregnant over 35 as well; off the top of my head I can think of at least five. Have you considered talking to your GP? I think what the calculator was predicting was that in any given cycle, you have a ten percent chance of conception (your monthly fecundability), and the chart that follows below further demonstrates the odds of conceiving at age 35 with respect to the number of months you've been trying. I hope that this helped. I wish you so much baby dust!

Hi there, definitely don't loss hope. I got pregnant in Jan 2014, 2 months after having my IUD removed. I was 39 years old (3 months before turning 40) and got pregnant naturally.
We started trying again in July 2015 when I was 41 but had a miscarriage in Oct 2015 and then had a chemical August 2016. I'm found out I was pregnant October 2016 when I was 42

From personal experience, if you're having a hard time, it can just be normal variability, but go and get checked once you hit the year. I have been able to get pregnant in the past and now found out that, out of the blue, my tubes have issues. It wouldn't hurt to get an HSG to make sure there are no blockages or abnormalities. It can give you more confidence that all is well, and in some cases, they say it even helps 'clear up the cobwebs" and improves the chances of quick pregnancy. Most insurance covers it.

So sorry for your loss. From personal experience, if you're having a hard time, it can just be normal variability, but go and get checked once you hit the year. I have been able to get pregnant in the past and now found out that, after having two miscarriages, and totally out of the blue, my tubes have issues. It wouldn't hurt to get an HSG to make sure there are no blockages or abnormalities. It can give you more confidence that all is well, and in some cases, they say it even helps 'clear up the cobwebs" and improves the chances of quick pregnancy. Most insurance covers it. Don't give up hope though, technology is great these days, and most women are able to conceive, be it naturally or with some expert help. :-)
