Is this a miscarriage?
After getting a few days of very very faint positive pregnancy tests at home, I got my period on the day it was due. I was very confused at this since I was getting positive tests. I went to the doctor and got a blood sample drawn and my HCG is at 3.85 which is SUPER low. Does this mean I am miscarrying naturally if my HCG is this low? I can assume it was at one point higher since I was getting a positive pregnancy test.

if you are sure you had a positive then it was a chemical pregnancy (80% conceptions end up in chemical pregnancies, but usually women do not test before missing period so never find out)
chemical pregnancies are not considered actual miscarriages
or the test was an evap and you never were pregnant in the first place

Actually a chemical pregnancy is a very early miscarriage. I would say, based on what you described, you've had a chemical miscarriage. It was likely a bit higher, but is coming down and will soon be at zero again. I'm sorry that you've experienced this. But, just to give you some hope, I had a chemical miscarriage and then got pregnant again the very next month.
