Period pain since ovulation:(

Afternoon ladies. Just having a moan really, since what I believe was ovulation time I have had cramps ( period like), they seem to be on and off but today 8 dpo ( roughly) it feels like period is bout to come doesn't help coz I feel grumpy too. I hate this every month is such a blow in the old heart strings. :(
