many women only get bfp the day of missed period - or even later if they ovulate later that cycle.
i got my bfp 12 dpo, would be 2 days before. it is more reliable to count from ovulation if you know when it was.

With my second pregnancy, I didn't get my bfp until I was over a week late for AF. I agree with bradipina, basing your testing on your o date. It turns out with my pregnancy, I had actually ovulated twice (based on temps, cf, and cp). My o that led to pregnancy was a week before AF was due. Based on that, my bfp showed up right on time at 14 dpo.
