Question

After intercourse should i stand on my head?!

It said to ask questions that stand out so there you go:) My real question is after intercourse are there things i should be doing to increase my chances? Should i be laying with hips on pillows or doing the bicycle?? Or perhaps i should just be still?? Would love any info on this.. Also are certain positions better than others??

I asked my doctor the same question (she's one of my good friends, so I didn't feel TOO silly and I knew she'd give it to me straight). She said there was no medically documented advantage to doing anything. She also said that she, personally, always felt that just 15 or so minutes of lying still was a good idea. It may not be proven to help, but it can't hurt (and it's kinda nice to just chill for a bit afterwards anyway). As for pillows or the bicycle - no need to go crazy; but if it eases your mind then do it. My sister swears by pillows; but I found the effort of getting my hips on enough pillows to do the trick to be more frustrating than anything else. I'm a fan of the lay-there-and-get-him-to-give-you-a-glass-of-water trick myself.

Tbh, it won't make a difference. Sperm move incredibly fast, esp if they're in the right medium to do so. The majority of them are already in ur cervix by the time u get up. U could always grab some softcups and insert one directly after sex. That'll keep things where they need to be and allow u to get up and do what u need to do. I used to do that every time we bd....it made me feel better knowing I didn't give up on the stragglers and it kept my underwear dry!! That's always a bonus!!
Good luck! =))
