Question

Drastic changes in ovulation date from month to month?

Last month my cycle was 40 days long (consistent with previous cycles before TTC) and my fertility tracking app and OPK put my ovulation date at CD24. This month I am currently at CD15, and my OPK is almost peaking and my app is telling me I'm already in my fertile window. I wasn't expecting this so I feel like I've screwed up this month already. Can my ovulation date change that drastically from month to month?

Your ovulation dat can change month to month. If for some reason your body gets ready to ovulate, but can't, it tries again later. This can be due to any number of things, including stress. If it continues to vary that greatly, though, I would see your ob or gp for testing. Hormone imbalances and/or thyroid issues can cause this as can PCOS.
