Any TTCer's who have taken the trigger shot? When did it leave your system?
Hi friends, I was just curious to see if anyone else is undergoing fertility treatment and if so how long did it take for the trigger shot to leave your system? I'm 10 days past trigger and still getting a pretty noticeable positive. What I don't understand is I had a negative/ possible very very faint positive 7dpo in the evening. Then yesterday I tested all throughout the day with noticeable positives and again today at 10 days past trigger. My photo is in the 9dpo gallery. So my questions are.
- if I got a BFN very faint positive why would it be noticeable yesterday and today (hubby said he couldn't see a line at the 7 dpi but the urine collected so I flushed it out with some water and could see a faint line after)
-when did you test out your trigger
- do you think this is still the trigger
Thanks!!

It depends on a number of things. First, what was the dosage of your trigger shot? If it was 5,000 units, then yes, it should be out of your system by 10dpi. If it was 10,000 units, then probably not. The hcg in the trigger shot can go a little dormant and then come back again, all the way up to 14dpi. It also depends on your metabolism.
For me, I get 10,000 units, and I still see very faint lines up to 13dpi. I know of women that don't see any lines after 8dpi. It's all personal. Mathematically, 5,000 should give a positive test up until 12dpi, and 10,000 should give a positive until 13dpi.
Do you have a blood test scheduled? The only way to know for sure. For now, just keep testing. It will either start to get darker every 2 days, or it will stay faint and start fading away. It's tough waiting, I know!!

Hi thanks so much for giving me such a great answer! Yes it was the 10,000! I guess that explains why it was meg and then positive again with it being dormant. Guess I'm one of those unlucky ones that has it in their system forever :-/. I will just keep testing and hope for the best good luck to you! And thanks again :-)
