Question

Controlling emotions....

In November, our first time "trying", we got pregnant but it turned out to be a CP and it ended early December. I was on BC for nearly 20 years and only recently got married and am ready for a family.

I am presently 8 DPO (I believe I ovulated on CD 9- Peak CB Digital on CD 8). TMI alert -After O, I had loads of CM (more than usual) and that continued until 7DPO and now it's just scant. A few days ago, I would have sworn we succeeded, but now today, I feel completely down and out.... esp with the chg in CM. I believe I symptom spot, so I don't really "trust" if I am feeling something. Of course, I have POAS (several times despite knowing it was too early).
For all those TTC for a long time, my heart goes out to you.... this is just terribly difficult and emotional.

I am so emotional and frustrated and wonder how others keep it together..... any advice? Obviously, I know to just suck it up and keep trying. =(

Once you accept that conception might take longer than anticipated and you adjust your expectations, things get easier. The more we focus on each individual attempt, the more we lose the big picture which makes waiting and trying more painful than necessary. Prayer, yoga, exercise, certain herbs like Siberian ginseng and Ashwaghanda can do wonders for your emotional well-being. Wishing you all the best and a healthy pregnancy soon.

Agreed 110%! In the early days of my ttc, I used to get my hopes up so high, only to be crushed when the tests stayed white. After a cpl months, I stopped getting my hopes up, stopped overanalyzing every little twinge and poke, and used that time to plan out my next cycle. Doing that took the sting out of the BFN's and gave me something to look forward to. Let me tell u, when that BFP finally came, I couldn't have been more shocked or excited.
Keep ur focus elsewhere. It's hard to get ur mind off ttc once u get that baby fever, but try to focus on future cycles, and not the present one.
Good luck! =))
