Hello ladies, Does anyone else experience painful ovulation?
I have PCOS in Aug 2016 I started Metformin. And recently i started ovulating every other month. I have always had some middle pain during ovulation but recently i have been in lots of pain during ovulation. The gassy uncomfortable feeling with dull to sharp aching across my abdomen. We are trying to conceive now. I confirmed ovulation with blood work and ultrasound 21mm on my right. Of course i worry about endometriosis and other things. I am a reproductive nurse and i am now concerned about my own health. I do have a son from a prior relationship. I am now 3 dpo and now am in the "2 week wait" and i do not have regular cycles. 50+ days apart. I guess i am just curious as to what other women have pain with ovulation?

I've always had some pain with ovulation. It's usually an achey feeling leading up to O, that turns into sharp pains during O, then I get some bloating shortly after the sharp pains stop and that lasts through the next day. All of this was very exaggerated when I took things like clomid or iso's. Nothing has ever come up abnormal on my tests. Ask ur Dr to run some tests etc, for ur own peace of mind. Ttc is stressful enough without worrying about things that may be wrong inside.

Same as the previous respondent, I have painful ovulation. I usually wait for that pinching feeling and then do an OPK to confirm. It's very predictable that I will get a positive OPK with that pain. It's very common to experience ovulation pain. It doesn't necessarily mean that anything's the matter, but you can always talk with your doctor about it and get checked. Best of luck!
