Question

If hcg drops, is it possible to rise back to normal and have a successful pregnancy?

This is my 3rd pregnancy. My first ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks and my second was uneventful and carried pass due date. Periods have always been odd, so no idea about ovulation. Pregnancy confirmed by doc, but no u/s to determine due date until 03/02. I began bleeding this other night, and he said it wasn't a lot after examining me. By LMP, I should be 5w2d, but my hcg was only 40 2d ago. I took another hpt to try and keep my mind right by seeing if lines faded or stayed same or got stronger. They began fading, but are now intensifying (nothing on frer 2d ago, but now a line for example. Is it possible that I'm not miscarrying? I go back tomorrow for blood draw and die the OB to look at me again. Just trying to be prepared because I fell apart when I had my first miscarriage.

Its not a good sign. I see this all the time where i work and usually it never pans out. Did they confirm IUP (intrauterine pregnancy) with ultrasound? usually with irregular rising HCG's numbers & low progesterone providers worry about ectopic risk. Good luck at your apt and please keep us posted!
