Question

I'm terrified this pregnancy will just "go away"

I became pregnant in early December and had a very early miscarriage on the 3rd January. I've very quickly become pregnant again, honestly didn't think it would happen this fast! But I'm really struggling to accept this is happening, I'm finding it hard to enjoy it, I'm constantly on edge, always checking that my boobs still feel sore or hard, if I feel myself become a bit "wet" downstairs (sorry for tmi) I'm panicking and rushing to the bathroom to check I'm not bleeding. I know this stress is absolutely no good for me or the baby but I feel this irrational need to want to take another pregnancy test to just check it's still there! I feel even as I'm writing this that I'm utterly crazy :(

I've been there, it's a totally normal motherly instinct to worry constantly. I miscarried in April 2014 then got pregnant again the following July and carried my daughter to term. But the worry never went away even though my second pregnancy was successful. I don't mean to sound like a debbie-downer, but it is totally normal to feel how you are feeling. Like you said, worrying is not good for you or baby, so try to find something to do that you enjoy when you're feeling that way. Read a book, go for a walk, watch a favorite movie. You will miss those early days of pregnancy so try not to spend them miserable! Sending you prayers for a happy & healthy pregnancy!

i have had 5 miscarriages so this time it was not until the end of the first trimester that i let myself believe i was really pregnant. hold on there it gets better once you see the heart beat and even better once you can see it taking shape. the worry never disappears completely but it will get better!
