Hi. How I calculate my cm?first day at spotting (brown discarge ) or first day when imi bleeding?

Because I have this spotting 2 days before the bledding .I must to make some test on the day 2 or 3.So I don't want to miss it.Thank you

the first day of proper bleeding is cd1. in my fertility clinic they said if the flow sets in by 2 pm this is day 1, if after 2 pm the next day is day 1. spotting does not count.
