What is protocol/steps when you visit OB after TTC 6mo?
I think I am almost to the point of being concerned and ready to make an appointment with my OBGYN. My question is, what do they DO when you go? I have been tracking my periods for a year, ovulation for 6 months (but only took OPKs maybe 4 months). Haven't done BBT consistently but had ultrasounds done recently for a different reason and the tech told me she saw where I was ovulating. So, what all will they do and what are steps from here? Is it even worth it? I don't like medicine and try to take a natural route whenever I can so just looking for all the information possible.

6 months are not that long - it is considered normal to ttc for 1 year, as only 1 in 12 eggs statistically makes it (i.e. 1 in 3 gets fertilized, and of the fertilized only 1 in 3 or 4 successfully implants).
still an OB appt is good.
i would assume they will check your hormons at the beginning of the cycle (AMH, FSH, LH) and after the ovulation (PROG) and possibly check the lining in the second half. your partner also needs to be checked.
there are many things to know: if the eggs are too few or get released too early (i.e. whether the problem is conception), or whether the lining is not thick enough or there is not enough progesterone to sustain the implantation (i.e. the problem is implantation), or the sperm quality (e.g. motility) is not optimal and can be improved.
there are also "natural" i.e. herbal methods to improve each of these aspects but of course one should first know which to improve. gl!
